Women’s bantamweight and featherweight champ, Amanda Nunes is returning to the Octagon to defend her featherweight title at UFC 250. Her challenger, Canadian Felicia Spencer is coming into the fight with an impressive 8-1 career record, although most of those wins are from her days with Invicta FC. The fight is scheduled for May 9 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Bet on MMA at Bodog and get a free 100% bonus up to $200. It’s hard to say if Spencer is just fodder for Nunes. With +300 odds, she’s the biggest underdog on the card, and Nunes is a force to reckon with. Spencer did put on an impressive performance when she beat Megan Anderson as a +125 underdog at UFC Fight Night 152, and despite losing to Cyborg two months later, she is one of only four fighters to go the distance with the knockout machine. Nunes worked her way up to the top pound-for-pound female fighter by dominating the bantamweight division, and when she went up to featherweight to challenge Cris Cyborg for the title, she knocked Cyborg out in 51 seconds — one of five fights that Nunes won by knockout or technical knockout in less than a minute. Nunes is used to facing top level competition; title holders she’s beat include Germaine de Randamie, Valentina Shevchenko, Miesha Tate, Ronda Rousey and Holly Holm. She’s a heavy -400 favourite to leave Spencer in the dust.
